Everything people ask us at the counter, in one place.
Yes. Both the Greater Milwaukee Superstore and the Wisconsin and Illinois Border Superstore are open year-round, not just around the 4th of July. Regular hours are Tuesday 11AM–6PM and Wednesday through Saturday 10AM–6PM, closed Sunday and Monday. We also close on nine major holidays (New Year’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day) so our team can be home with theirs.
Wisconsin sets age and ID requirements for purchasing consumer fireworks. Bring a valid photo ID — staff at either counter can walk you through the specifics.
No. Walk in any time during posted hours. Groups and fundraising orders are welcome — call ahead if you want staff to have your order pulled and ready.
Both stores carry the same core inventory. The Greater Milwaukee Superstore is the better stop from the Milwaukee side; the Wisconsin and Illinois Border Superstore sits right on the Wisconsin/Illinois line, so it’s closer if you’re coming up from the Chicago suburbs.
Yes. Regular hours at both stores are Tuesday 11AM–6PM and Wednesday through Saturday 10AM–6PM, closed Sunday and Monday. Hours are extended in the weeks before the 4th of July, up to 8AM–10PM in the final days, and again in the days around Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Call either store to confirm holiday hours.
Start with your crowd size and how long you want the show to run, then ask staff — they’ve lit most of what’s on the shelf and can build a list around your space and budget. See our full buying guide for the breakdown.
365+ products across 14 categories — everything from ground spinners and sparklers to 500-gram aerial repeaters and finale racks.
Yes — everything on our shelves is legal for Wisconsin consumers. For the specifics on local rules, see our safety and legal resources.
A rewards program — earn 1 Pyro Point for every $1 you spend at either store, then redeem points for free products. Points never expire and can be redeemed any time except July 3rd & 4th.
Collect 2,000 or more Pyro Points and receive $1,000 in free fireworks (less tax and permit fee). See the Rewards page for full terms.
Neither — BOGO, Buy 1 Get 2, and 50% Off tags are standing deals that run all season, every visit. Look for the tags on the shelf.
Join the mailing list on our Rewards page and we’ll send a coupon straight to your inbox.
Both stores hire seasonal and year-round positions — no experience required. Apply online through the Careers & Fundraising page.
American Fireworks provides a secured stand location, product, tents, and marketing support. Your group provides the volunteers to staff it, typically over a 7–10 day window in late June and early July. Open to youth groups, sports teams, and religious & service organizations.
